  We had a fantastic stay at Villa Cheli! Our room had direct access to the front balcony and for two days we felt we had our own private Villa in Italy! In addition to the kind staff, and nice accommodations, we had one of the best dinners of our trip through Italy at Villa Cheli! We had a minor problem in our bathroom and brought it to the staff's attention in the morning as we were leaving for our day's outing. When we returned everything was taken care of.   We loved the fact that is was an older Villa, just outside of the city center. Very Charming with a wonderful selection of breakfast items. A bit worn around the edges, but with a lot of character and charm. Large warm pool in a big, lush garden setting. Option to eat outdoors at each meal which we did. The room was a good size, excellent bed and the bathroom was modern with a nice bath. The oublic areas, bar and lounges were inviting and the staff were vey attentive. Overall it was fantastic.

  We stayed 5 days here and loved it. We cycled into Lucca on the bikes provided, walked in the hills nearby where olives were being harvested and enjoyed a meal provided by Lorenzo with local cheeses, meats and wines and his own olives. The house is the original farm of Lorenzo's grandmother and is in a tiny village with bar/pizzeria, mini market a... vad folk säger » nd a great hairdresser! - The host was welcoming, knowledgable and wonderful! The room was beautiful and the surrounding countryside was lovely. We borrowed bikes and had an amazing time cycling through the countryside to Lucca, which was also picturesque and beautiful. The restaurant and wine he recommended (host was also a sommelier) were both fantastic!!
