We had originally only booked for one night but, when my wife became ill on the way there, the the receptionist went out of her way to move us into a larger room, for the same price, so we could spend an extra night there and help her recover. During the two nights we spent there the staff went out of their way to be considerate and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and evening meals were fine.
alla recensioner » I loved the fact that the harbour can accommodate families comfortably. We were with our three children and stayed in a family room. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were friendly and courteous and made us feel very welcome. We have already recommended the Harbour Inn to friends and family and will be definitely be staying again with our children. Thank you for a lovely experience. The owners andstaff were splendid. I told the lady who owns the Inn that I wish i could move this Inn wherever we go in the future. It was charming, a great buy and offered a very personal touch. By the way, I presume letsbookhotel.com receives some fee from the Inn, so we paid the Inn. We presume letsbookhotel.com will not also charge our account, correct?. The huge room with a lovely sea view was perfect and very well appointed. There was everything we could have wished including an iron in the walk-in wardrobe! The restaurant early bird menu is an excellent value option and was very tasty. We enjoyed everything about our stay here. Be sure to take time to walk through swan park in the town its a lovely stroll. My son asked me to look for somewhere nice for the weekend as he wanted to celebrate his partners birthday by proposing. The hotel staff, service, rooms, cleanliness were excellent...even a complimentary bottle of wine was provided by the hotel....My son and partner have recommended the hotel to everyone and plan to return quite soon. Excellent value for money. Good location just outside town with the sea on the other side of the road. Decent size rooms which were very quiet with no hotel noise. Nice breakfast and evening meal. Staff were really helpful. Next to a large petrol station which had a well stocked shop. We stayed 2 nights in the harbour inn and we used it as a base to see Northern Ireland and Donegal, really nice spacious rooms, good service, friendly staff, having the petrol station next door and the beach accross the road was very handy, we plan on coming back here again!. Bar / restaurant is very comfortable and bar food is good value for money. Bedrooms are an excellent size and if there was a mini fridge we would consider staying there again for longer period. The room was very quiet, clean and spacious. The breakfast was not the usual 'ready cooked', but was cooked to order and very nice. I would have liked a fruit bowl of chopped fruit and some natural yoghurt. A bowl of whole fruit is not appetizing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic and put themselves out for us in our difficult circumstances (the funeral of my father). We dined in the bar on the evening we arrived and enjoyed our meal plus a few quiet drinks.The family room was excellent with one entrance ,two bedrooms and a bathroom. the whole holiday was made even better by the great views, rooms lovely, staff brilliant, would really recommend this hotel and all it has to offer to anyone, fabulous. Breakfast selection and quality of produce used could be better. I was led to believe it was 10 mins walk from Buncrana, but it took us 30 mins to get to town centre walking. I requested a quiet room which I received and it was really good, but didn't have wifi cover. However, I had no probs bringing my ipad to lounge where cover was no problem. I believe it was my quiet room which was out of range. room was so big the bedside light switch was too far to reach - had to get out of bed to turn it off !. not applicable. Breakfast - the big fried breakfast wasn't that tasty so we didn't have it on the second day/ Disapointed as the dinners were great. There were no negatives. Only one small thing food could be twicked but still yummy. The fact that we could only stay for one night. Next time we will stay longer. Due to the great weather the rooms were very warm at night.Wi-fi was not working until morning and then it was dropping in and out. Couldn't find air conditioning switch in room although reception staff next day said there was in our room. That we didn't stay longer!. nothing. Not a bad comment to make . Harbour Inn and staff all excellent. having to leave. WIFI didn't reach to the family rooms. Weather, though can't blame the hotel for that, even the forecasters got it wrong. Nothing. Had to go out of hotel to go for breakfast and reception Didn't mind that much though. The breakfast made up for it. nothing. nothing. no cable tv. I stayed in 104 and slept in bed on right side, mattress was very bad kept rolling to one side ....needs replacing. Nothing. No issues. Programme choice on TV was a bit limited as we didn't find a lot to do in the area after having an evening meal and once it had got dark. Nothing. It wasn't actually in Buncrana, it was a bit outside through town and getting a taxi back late at night turned out to be a real problem. Double bed a bit small !.
