I had the best time in the homestay, the staff is so friendly and helpful! I was on my own, and Agung, the owner, wasn't too busy so he was hanging out with me to events and places, patiently explain my stupid questions about local cultural stuff. And he also helped me book tours for my birthday trekking, and dropped me to places when he's free-coz he thinks it might be dangerous for me to motor biking in Ubud centre, which I agreed later on.
Anyway I think it's a great place to stay, maybe no. alla recensioner »
The host Agung was (is) an amazing person on generosity, care, information, and even going as far as catering to my unusual breakfast times of late morning and once it could only be called lunch. A fresh juice and some eggs done exactly as I asked. The room was always clean when I returned and a friendly greeting given as though a friend and not a guest. I booked extra nights even leaving and returning within an hour to stay on...the only reason I moved guesthouses was because I forgot to book.
We had an amazing time at the home stay. They only have 4 rooms which means you get a personalised service. The owner was so helpful booking for us transport, tours etc. which removed all the hassle. The room was superb. Much nicer than the 2 other hotels I stayed in Seminyak and Kuta for a lot more money. Squeaky clean with some beautiful traditional Balinese furniture but of course the Air Con. I would absolutely recommend staying there. Excellent breakfast. The price is unbeatable too.
the staff were really friendly and helpful. They try to make guests feel really at home. They are house proud and take very good care of the cleanliness. The decor of the place is very Balinese. The operator, Mr Agung, will go out of his way to help you find anything that you need during your stay. I would definitely consider this homestay again on my return trip to Ubud, Bali.
This is the best homestay you will ever find. The owner and his family are the most friendly people and will help you with anything. The facilities are great very romantic beds and beautiful room. Nice home cooked local breakfast. It is a bit of a walk to the centre but not a major point. Would definitely recommend. you get more than you pay for.Really enjoyed our stay here.
The family that runs the homestay is kind. The location is a bit tricky but it's across the main gas station on that end of Ubud. If you're in town, the Monkey Forest is only a 7 minute drive away and there is a coffee planation where you can meet luwaks and try luwak coffee.
Very charming room with nice decor & comfortable bed. Huge bathroom! Staff was super friendly & helpful. I'd definitely stay here again! Also, walking distance to Yoga barn & other nice restaurants which was great.
Agung, the manager of Pondok Oka Homestay, who is so friendly and
provided us with good service and a lot of informations about ubud. He
really helped us a lot. This is a good homestay which provide good
value of money.
the owner is incredibly kind and gives guests all the support and assistance they may require for arranging tours around ubud. the room was very clean. the bed very comfortable.
Amazing family. Great information about ubud and activities. Very nice
clean room in an excellent location. Very good value for money. Would
not hesitate to stay there again.
The bed and airco were amazing, especially after spending two nights on Gili with no airco.
Funny fact: Ketut Liyer from Eat Pray Love lives around the corner :-).
Agung was great and very helpful with everything. Lots of small details like free water, toothbrushes, umbrellas etc. Room was super clean and cosy. Loved our stay.

Amazingly friendly family and staff. Very eager to help, chat, introduce us to their culture.
Agung is the most helpful host we have seen! Thanks for your help! Everything was good!.
Agung is very helpful and is very happy to help to plan your activities for the day.
The house owner is friendly. Everything is super here.
Very helpful staff, organised everything we needed.
Room was amazing, clean and very comfortable.
Very friendly staff!.
Everything was cool.
They provide coffee in the room but not as part of the breakfast. In some rooms the bathroom is down a fly of stairs which is a bit of a pain but totally worth it.
The environment where the homestay is is rather run down. There is some walking needed to get to the main Ubud centre but still within walking distance. The nights can be noisy as it is next to the main road.
Location was just okay. A bit hard to find due to a very small sign.
bamboo walls means that you must wakeup at 5am when the roosters start singing. every morning...
Our bathroom was outside the room and down stairs (private), but wasn't much of a problem.
none.
Thin walls so you can hear voice from second room and outside.
Bathroom was on different level.
the bathroom was downstairs which wasn't very convenient though they sent an informing email about this earlier.
