A perfect starting point for Iceland exploring. The owners are extremely nice and friendly people. Cottage is clean and comfortable. We ended each day with dip in the hot tub on the terrace - fantastic end of each day on Iceland. Tip: owners can contact you with car rental comapny with good cars and very good prices. We got brand new car at very good price.
1. Extremely friendly owner.
2. Amazing, relaxing hot tub on decking (and gas BBQ).
3. Great location for airport (10 mins by car) and blue lagoon (~20mins) - yet it is a destination not a generic airport hotel.

Hot Tub (with adjustable temperature and a wodden wall against the wind).
The apartment keeper brought us to the airport at 4:30 in the morning because we had to return our car on the day before (not to mention he picked us up from the airport after returning the car)!
Kitchen which was better equipped than our apartment in Reykjavik.
Simple design, beautiful views, quiet and very peaceful; near airport but still a world away! Perfect place to rest on cross atlantic trip. Hot tub was perfect under starry sky, walk on rocky shoreline was stunning.
we arrived when it was dark and could not find the cottage. we called the owner who came to pick us up. he even had the hot tub ready by filling in the water and kept it hot. it was really considerate.
Good kitchen facilities, Hot tub with fresh water and the option to make it really hot. Owner was very helpful and explained everything. Airport is a short drive away.
Very nice and quiet place near the sea. A golf course is near also. I liked how the cottages are organized and the owner was very nice and friendly.

1. Remote and somewhat bleak (beautiful, but if there for more than few days would need to drive places for activity/entertainment).
2. Windy when we were there- hot tub very well sheltered though.
A bit outside of everything (5-10 minutes walk to Sandgerði), although not far away from the airport (15 min by car).
The rooms were too small. we could not even open the suitcase insider the room. it would also be nice if there was a light above the dining table.
Still dark at 9 in the morning ha ha.
Hot tub did not look clean. Full of flies.
