From the moment that we drove down through the city streets to City
Center Hotel, we knew that the location was just right on. We were near
the majority of restaurants, museums & galleries and shopping.
Everything was in walking distance. The staff was very helpful in all
aspects that a visitor to Iceland would expect. The room layouts were

Very central location...close to main shopping areas, tourist centers
and restaurants...try The Grill Market Restaurant on the same street as
the hotel. We had a room with a balcony which was a good idea as it gave
us a lovely view of the square behind the hotel. The staff were very
helpful and breakfast was substantial. Easily reached( to and from
airport ). Very comfortable and warm. Tours to take...The Golden Circle

We stayed in the Vatnsstigur 11 building, which is perfectly located just off the main street Laugevegur - close to everything, but not disturbed by nightlife at all. No reception staff, but self check-in and finding the room key was easy. Just 200 yards from the sea front and the Sun Voyager statue.

The location is very good as it is very close to the shops, church, grocery and iceland excursions terminal and main office. Room 504 is really nice with kitchen, balcony, living room and 2 single beds. I was very happy with the kitchen because it's got everything! A stove with an oven/grill, coffee maker, bread toaster, kettle, pots, plates and cutleries, mugs, glasses, dishwashing liquid, basically everything you will need in cooking and eating.
