We were hesitant to book because there were almost no reviews, but
we're glad we did. It turned out that the reason was it had only
been open a month.
The hosts were extremely accommodating. They did their best to make sure we had everything we (and our young daughter) needed.
Nicer than more expensive places we stayed at on the same trip.

It was such an amazing stay! The house feels so homey. it is beautifully built and decorated, with many thoughtful details. It was by far the most memorable place we stayed at in Iceland. The couple who owns it is very nice and kind. The wife cooked us a tasteful breakfast even though we were the only guests staying there that night. This is definitely a great choice for travelers!

We stayed at the Hotel Vestmannaeyjar for 3 days and it was absolutely amazing! First of all we had booked a basic double bedroom but we soon found out that the owners had given us one of the suites, as it was available. Moreover, the owners were lovely and helpful people! My dad and I visited Iceland in October of 2006. We'd originally intended to just drive through the country and find accommodations when we felt like we needed them. The location was a 5 minute walk to the restaurants, and away from any noise. The price was very reasonable for the 3-bed self-contained apartment. Breakfast cost extra, but was generous and had a good variety. Wi-fi was included and worked very well. The apartment was comfortable and spacious - good size bathroom, lounge, dining, kitchenett and bedroom. The lady was very lovely and helpful. There was on-site parking. I highly recommend this for a relaxing stay.

This was the best place we have booked in our 7 nights in Iceland. The landlord was funny and he prepared a very good breakfast with waffles and fish based food.He was a nice company. You can raech the farm from the Ring Road (nr. 1) very easily, on a normal road (300-400 meters). The family was very friendly, they were really cute. The breakfast was continental (rolls, butter, ham, salami, eggs, cheese, tomato, cucumber, coffee, tea, cereals, milk, everything you want). You can have a dinner too, it's a menu, with soup, a main course, and dessert. They make everything, and it's very tasty. It's cheaper than usual for a bigger portion. We loved that place. The guesthouse was incredible!! We loved the location. It is situated in a very nice neighborhood that is conveniently located a block from the pool facilities. And the pool recreation center was incredible after spending the day hiking! The owners were wonderful to deal with, very helpful and accommodating. Definitely purchase the breakfast ~
