  During that trip to Iceland we stayed in four different guesthouses in different parts of the country, so I can compare. Home Guesthouse was undoubtedly the best of them! It's located very conveniently near the airport, very close to the famous Blue Lagoon, so can be a good final destination before you leave. The interior is very well thought of, full of details to make - We had an early flight and that is why have decided to stay there as it's near the airport. For sure we don't regret as the place is just perfect. Excellent is not even stronge enought to describe the owner, the house and every thing that goes with it. The house has been decorated with really good taste, some thing you usually see only in fashion magazine.   Everything was perfect. Magnus at the reception was very friendly and helpfull. Arriving after midnight was no problem, my bed was excellent, even sharing bathroom was no problem. The house itself I found so nicely decorated, everything was clean. I stayed 2 nights and was well rested when heading up to Reykjavik, meeting my friend and travelling... vad folk säger » through the south. I can recommend this house with no hesitations and the next time I come to Iceland I know where to stay for the first days.Thanks - Delicious breakfast, super clean bed and breakfast. Just changed ownership and new owners are trying really hard to be as kind and accommodating as possible. I needed a hair dryer and they didn't have one but went out and purchased one just for me to use while staying there. Special chocolate milk provided for the children each day and kind owner.

  Excellent in every aspect. The owner is an extremely kind woman, almost like a real mother. The place is impressively clean, especially the bed sheets and pillows which both had such a nice and strong perfume. The place itself is so quiet and pleasant, and even though is just a little meaningless town like Keflavik, the place itself has something ... vad folk säger » special in the air. The guesthouse is kept very well with the dining room and kitchen being both so pleasant. The place is very close to the airport s - The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was one of the best we've seen in Iceland (large enough to shower and no draining problems). Arna and Flosi were very helpful with tips and information about Iceland. It would have been best for us to stop here before touring around Iceland, as their advice would have been useful.   Dagmar the owner was incredibly nice to pick me up from airport past 1am, even though my flight was delayed an hour. She then drove me to airport at 9am the next morning. Very nice talk with her, sharing traveling experiences (she loves traveling). The guesthouse was fabulous, with great bed, strong shower, phenomenal breakfast. Very clean, homey, and welcoming. Can't wait to go bac - This place looks nice from the outside but is even nicer from the inside! Its in Keflavik so you wouldnt normally stay here if you were visiting Reyjavik but I did want to stay longer just because it was so lovely. The kitchen is really well equipped and everything is spotlessly clean and pretty big too. In addition breakfast in the fridge was great and there was a good selection and quite alot of it. Plus the owner was really friendly and recommended a great resturant.

  Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen availability was nice. Proximity to sea and airport. Cute and warm house Even if it was written no breakfast the tenant bring us some bread and cookies for breakfast We were welcomed by basketball players that live in the house and are sponsored by the tenant.   I recieved a very warm welcome from Astrid on reception. I was lucky enough to arrive on a night when the northern lights were out, and we went outside to watch them together. I had a really special night there, and really loved the room I got. Very helpful with everything I asked about, and it really made the end of my stay memorable. Sylvia was great. When she wasn't cleaning, she was doing research on Iceland in order to give suggestions to travellers. I had a room to myself and it was the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. Everything sparkled. Close to the airport and to bus stops. It's just a terrific place to stay. (...and I did not miss the bus to Reykjavik)

  Guesthouse Borg was a nice place to be in. It is very nice and clean. Also very comfortable, but not luxury. The owner Björk is very nice and helpful and keen on taking care of her guests.
