  I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Ferienhaus Apartmanház Zalánki in Eger, Hungary. Eger, a city of 57, 000 people, abounds with historical and natural attractions. A bus ride from Budapest (Stadion Metro station) to Eger takes only two hours. The host is a charming gentleman who speaks perfect English and serves you wine from his own vineyard which is very good. Apt has everything you could need and lots of room. I hated to leave and would love to return.

  We are very impressed with this apartment. It seems like we are staying at home. Every one in apartment owner family is very kind. He sent us at the railway station, since we are 7 people and have many big luggages so he has to drive twice to carry all of us to the station for free.   Very helpful staff, and moderately good English speaker, which helped. The restaurant she recommended was very good and again a nice value. The rooms were very clean, pleasant, well accommodated and a very reasonable value. It was a 14 minute walk into town, which was acceptable.   A big YES for this place. Location could not be better, the view from the room was awsome: panorama to the castle and cathedral. Rooms are extremly clead and nice furbished. Staff is very kind and attentive, they pay attention also to small details. A plus: I forgot my beloved jacket in the room and they are resending it to me free of charge.   This was an apartment/hotel so breakfast was not included. It was still good value. The apartment was quaint and comfortable and we made use of the kitchen facilities. We were very happy with the location but for some it might have been a bit noisy with people outdoors below enjoying themselves. It was clean, the staff super friendly, ridiculously cheap, and it was in a great location. I loved it here!
