  This is a fabulous hotel. I stayed there for 3 nights with my daughter, prior to going on to Santorini. Excellent location - do not be put off by the fact it is in a suburb of Athens - it is an extremely 'good' suburb with fabulous restaurants and shops and only a short car ride into the centre - we hired a driver from 'Georges Taxis' for the four... vad folk säger » days and like the hotel, I cant recommend them highly enough either.   The location of Athos Hotel is perfect. We took the metro from the airport to Syntagma Square, then walked only about three blocks to the hotel. It's close to restaurants, sights and shopping, but on a quieter side street. If you can get a room on the 4th floor you can get a spectacular view of the Parthenon from your window. Either way the view from the roof is just as beautiful.. The shopping streets are close by too, as well as lots of good eating options.
