  Staff and the owners of the hotel were excellent. They were very nice and very helpfull. They gave lots of information about chios and gave few good restaurants in town and detailed directions. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable.   Nice stuff, cool swimming pool, very comfortable rooms with full kitchen, 6 km from capital port. We rent a car (25 euro per day) and we visited almost entire Chios. Sightseeing high mountain part of island by car is like rollercoaster. Close to the sandy, beautiful, calm, long shallow beach - perfect for children.   Very friendly atmosphere, hotel is in the middle of orange and tangerine trees-lovely, rooms are big and beds are very comfortable. You'll need a car to get into the city center; only 2km far tho. Visiting there in December they were so kind to heat the room up before our arrival, noted, thanks for that.   I've been to Chios and stayed in Topakas two weeks ago. As I've said, that was my first but absolutely not the last stay in there. So I did it again:) For me the motivation of going somewhere again and again is not only the places that you visit, the food that you eat or the place that you stay, it's also the people that you meet. Thanks again Eleni for - Staying in Topakas House was one of my best holiday experiences. We stayed 3 nights with my friend and 5,5 yrs old son. We felt like we were at home. The place was so cosy, the landlady Eleni and her husband Costas (please forgive if I misspell) were wonderful people, just as their son and daughter. They tried to help us in every way they could. The breakfast, the courtyard and the asmosphere were great. We left our hearts and minds in there. We'll really miss the late night chats in the courty
