  Marieka greeted with a warm welcome and friendly smile. From there it just kept getting better. Our room balcony overlooked the Rhine and we just watched the boats passing by.   We were hiking the Rheinsteig and Hotel Zu Den Bergen was very handy to the track (near Marksberg [castle]). Our hotel room was spacious, modern and very clean, as was the ensuite bathroom.   Very friendly welcome.The food and service were excellent. We liked everything in the nice hotel and specially the lovely presented youghurt to our breakfast.   Nice clean room with a lovely view over the river. Host was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Kestert is not very big so if you are looking for entertainment or lots of restaurants a car is handy. - We stayed in the apartment and it deserves more than the two stars. It was clean, modern and comfortable. Certainly had everything we needed.
