We've been in this hotel-gasthaus just for one night and we would reccomend the experience if you're in the area.
I'd always prefer the gasthaus atmosphere if I have to travel through rural Germany, I get a better change to get to know people and culture and the "value4money" ratio is defenetely better than a standard 4 stars hotel.

Rented the appartment for 4 people, it was very nice. Good breakfest. Friendly english speaking staff, very helpfull.

The breakfast was so big we couldn't eat it all. We also had an evening meal there, which was very tasty and amazing value for money. -
friendly staff (no English though), reasonable accommodation for given price, good breakfast
