  The staff at this hotel were excellent! I especially liked the two girls(one from the Czech Republic and the other from Slovakia) that workedhere, as they both had great people skills.   The owners were really friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.When we needed information about trains they printed it out for us and they provided a wonderful winetasting evening. We enjoyed the quietness of the guesthouse and the easy access to countryside - great not to have TV! The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast... vad folk säger » was plentiful.   Ellen and Dirk are wonderful hosts who make your stay memorable. We had a room that included a sitting room, large bedroom and a very large bath. We overlooked one of the towns towers and the Rhine River. We also ate at the Bacharacher Hof restaurant twice and the food far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend the Bacharacher Hof for your Rhine vacat - The room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was fantastic and the breakfast was amazing. The location was very convenient to the train station and was situated in a convenient location for shopping and sightseeing in the charming Rhine town. There are many wonderful sights in easy walking distance and it was also very close to the K-D ferry terminal where we embarked on a Rhine cruise. An amazing historic location all in all.

  The appearance is of a charming, old world, typically German early building with exposed wood. Inside the bar/reception and views into the dining area are of apparent ancient dark wood.   We are a family of 4 - 2 boys ages 13 and 7 and stayed there in July 2013. This hotel is in town on the Main Street near shops and restaurants and away from the train noise. Bacharach is small so walking the town in an hour is realistic. You won't find a fancy hotel here. This hotel is in a historic building with lots of charm. T - We didn't see much of the host but check in and check out were straight forward. The rooms were comfortable and we were provided with 2 cots as requested. The breakfast was minimal but fine. Bacharach is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed looking at the shops and also the carousel for drinks and snacks. We had dinner at a pub and found that it is more known for its beer than its food but still ok meals. Great location to explore this beautiful village and close to the river so you can arrive by

  I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Im Schulhaus. Even though it was more expensive than my other nights on the track in Kaub and Sankt Goarshausen, it was much more well-appointed as well. I had a room with a patio and lounge chairs, which was perfect after a long day of hiking on the Rheinsteig.
