  The staff was very friendly and most helpful. My room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was an added bonus! It was also very conveniently located near the rail station, restaurants and only a short walk over the river to the cathedral and museums! - The breakfast was outstanding, and the staff was friendly.   Very friendly and helpful staff, small and calm hotel in the near of Koeln Messe and -important- the Lanxess Arena. I stayed there because of the IIHF Icehockey World Championship in Germany and I have to say that I enjoyed the time absolutely. If you need a nice place to stay in Koeln, you should really think of Hotel Alexander!   It was really close to the Hauptbahnhof, so it helped us a lot, considering that we were carrying heavy bags. It was really comfortable and we had a nice internet connection (usually it's not that good) for work and skype. - Very clean, very close to the train station/city center, very affordable, availble for short stays, and fit our family of s... vad folk säger » even.
