Great Bathtub. The hotel is close to the Metro and in an ideal location for exploring the 5th. The room was very clean with new and tasteful refurbishings throughout. Our 6th floor space came with a stocked refrigerator and a little balcony with a great view. The windows were new and very effective in blocking noise from busy Rue Monge below. The staff was courteous and helpful.alla recensioner »
The hotel staff was excellent; helpful and patient with a non-French speaker. They helped us to get taxis and answered every need we had.`. The reception staff were very helpful and the location is excellent, within walking distance of the Latin Quarter and the Pantheon. Friendliness of staff. Good location. The location is good, very close to a subway station. The room is very clean but really small - the same about the washroom. The bed is confortable and the AC is a great detail in summer. Staff is OK - the guy at night is far more friendly than the the other people working there. Location and helpfulness of staff. Good location; staff was friendly and helpful and graciously accommodated my request to change rooms when my first room reeked of smoke (even though hotel is supposed to be non-smoking). Hotel had books on loan in lobby (including current Paris and France travel books which was useful) also had reasonably priced lounge off lobby. Pleasant atmosphere. Kind staff. Good breakfast, i.e. not just the croissant and the famous café olé.Everything was ok except the wi fi. Unfortunately the wi fi was the main reason I chose the specific hotel. Good location.I found the bed comfortable, but my partner found it rather hard. The last night of our stay 12/20, we were placed in a smoking room. We had requested a non-smoking. The room reeked of cigar smoke and the hotel recognized that, because the windows in the room were open when we checked in. My friend and I both coughed throughout the night and our clothes were permeated with the smell of stale smoke the next day.Room was very small and basic though this is a minor point, especially considering the price against other hotels in the area. We asked for a quiet room but were at the front - we are used to near silence at night at home so couldn't open the window - were therefore very hot. the bath tub and shower were a little inconvenient to use. Walls paper thin; could hear others' conversations, hear them bathing and showering as if they were in my room. Foam mattresses and hard foam pillows not very comfortable but the room was clean.Rooms were small for the rather 'sturdier' nordic people. In particular the douche was a miniature of what we're accustomed to. The wi fi broadband was not for the entire hotel as they promote but only for the reception. This is the reason why I wasn 't able to do my job in Paris, as I had to. I mention the broblem many times. The receptionists was very polite but the problem remained ansolved. As I realised, they don't have the right equipment to cover all the Hotel by the wi fi connection.Wifi acces costs 2 euro per 24 hours. That's cheap, by why not give it for free then... The bed was very uncomfortable, the room was very hot, the air-conditioning did not work, and the staff could not care less. We were told to open the window - which opened on to the main road, so was not an option at night.
