Loved the warm welcome from the owners. The room was large, clean and had a lovely view over the garden. The bathroom modern and lovely shower the toilet being just outside the room was not the problem I thought it was going to be as it was 'ours' . We arrived had a beer on the patio overlooking the garden, using the modern kitchenette we cooked our dinner and sat outside watching the sun go down. alla recensioner » I travelled with a friend from the West Midlands and used La Ferme du Scardon as a one night stopover en-route to Hermanville near Caen. The owner was very welcoming and spoke a little english which with my elementary french was enough to get by. The room was very clean and comfortable with a shower en-suite and a private toilet just outside. There was plenty of choice for breakfast. One word of warning, there is no facility for card payments so it is cash only. Altogether a very pleasant stay. Elizabeth, the owner, welcomed us and showed us to our room.The bedroom was tastefully decorated and furnished very nicely. The ensuite was very well presented and was quite large. Full kitchen facilities were available if needed. A tv was in the dining area. We spent a comfortable night and next day enjoyed breakfast in Elizabeth's dining area. All jams, yoghurts etc were home made and excellent. We will definitely return and will tell ourfriends. Very friendly and accomodating owners. We stayed two separate nights en route and back to tunnel. On the way back we got lost and arrived late at 11.30 pm but not a problem. Room excellent large and bright tea coffee facilities. We received a warm and friendly welcome from the owner and nothing was too much trouble, even providing us with an early breakfast. Already planning to return as we could not fault anything. In a country location, the accommodation is set within a barn conversion. The rooms are of a very high standard, with plenty of space inside. The wet room / bathroom is very spacious. The kitchen & dining area is excellent. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. As the room was in the eaves of the house the walls sloped inwards from a height of about three feet so it was easy to bump your head if you walked near them without paying attention. If tempted to get a taxi don't as they come from Abberville and charge over 30 euros. There was nothing that we did not like and we would definitely visit again. Laminate floor in bedroom with no rugs, cold on the feet in the morning. nothing to dislike. liked everything. Possibly a little difficult to find. Very minor - if it were a gite for, say, a week, an easy chair in the room might be useful. But that really is all. Separate toilet facilities. Location, too far from Abbeville. Nothing.
