The double room with en suite was immaculately clean and it had a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked very well. The staff were lovely, very helpful. Internet access was free. The hotel is just across the road from the main train station (St Charles) and next door to the best patisserie in Marseilles. I stayed the double room in the courtyard which has no traffic noise. I could sleep well. The room is clean, well done house keeping, comfortable bed and pillow. This hotel is located in front of the historical steps of SNCF station. You can enjoy beautiful steps if you don't mind to bring with the baggage.
alla recensioner » The location is so close to the main train station. So if you have to go to the airport in Marsielle especially in very early in the morning it is a big chance. The hotel is new decorated. The staff is very friendly and polite and helpfull. The rooms are clean. Also the breakfast is good. The location was excellent for us as we travelled by train. The welcome by the staff at the front desk, and at breakfast, was perfect as they allowed us to speak in French as far as possible, but spoke to us in English as necessary. They were also politely efficient. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful under any circumstances.Questions and problems did not remain unsolved. The location of the hotel is excellent! I read some of the comment that the shower room has a problem. I agree with them. It was too difficult to take a shower. Actually this is just an information not a dislike that you have to walk about 10-15 minutes to go to the center or lets say the old city and old harbour. I would have liked a bedside table, and better drainage for the shower. The bathroom may need a curtain to avoid water-splashing. Long way from dining options, although the café on the corner opposite was excellent for the price as was the lunch place next door. there is a little water block in the bathroom when taking shower. No coffee-making facilities. The room was quite small. We had a problem with a shower that didn't drain, but it was quickly dealt with by transferring us to a different room. Bit hard to if your new to city and do not read or understand french. Poor internet connection in the room, had to go to lobby for reliable connection.No water cooker to make coffee/tea in room, no mini bar/fridge. Nothing. Room was tidy but very small - and needed a shower curtain to keep from flooding the bathroom!. the town itself is very shody full of homeless people and beggars the marina was beautiful and the best part. Advertisement for 5 euro breakfast was slightly ambiguous , the 5 euro one was a croissant while the buffet breakfast was 9 euros . It was a very nice one. Since there is no curtain the bathroom becomes full of water after one takes a shower. There was a problem with the shower drain. small B/room. No negatives. No internet in room, despite 'first heard of this' At réception. No shower curtains. no phone conection to the room. there was no hot water for round about 24 hours. Nothing particular. shower place - too small barrier to keep water, all the time it's going to flood the whole room. What is with the shower design ?. My room and the whole floor smelled intensely of faulty plumbing (faeces, basically). The room itself was so small that there was no room for any furniture but the bed. The "desk" but it was really no more than a shallow shelf mounted against the wall. The (free) internet connection was very slow and disconnected frequently. Staff were not helpful. Appeared to be uninterested or not able to understand English. General area in which hotel located dirty and bit threatening, but did not encounter any problems. Very small room, not very convenient for two persons. The blocked shower.
