We stayed at 7 different places during our trip and this was by far the most beautiful! And it was the best value for what we paid. The host was welcoming and friendly and helpful in recommending somewhere to eat dinner. And the breakfast was included and included bread and jams, pastries, eggs, juice and coffee. When I tried to explain to the owner that I only eat scrambled eggs he was very amused and invited me into the kitchen and asked me to show him how to make them. He was warm and welcom. alla recensioner »
Les Blotteries is in a beautiful property in a lovely setting. We stayed in the former stable with a large loft, which gave our family of four lots of room. Beds were very comfortable. Jean, the proprietor, is very personable and was very patient with my rusty French. He can tell you the WWII history to the property and surrounding area. Les Blotteries is conveniently located about 10 km or so from Mont Saint Michel, but its pastoral, quiet setting was a welcomed relief after dealing with .
The rooms are stunning, spaces, beautifully decorated, clean and thoughtful. Our host was absolutely wonderful -- very helpful, informative, kind, welcoming -- he made us feel right at home. Jean-Malo went to extra efforts on our behalf, and we were very grateful. The breakfast was lovely and delicious. And, the setting and grounds at Les Blotteries are gorgeous. While it is in the country, it is very close to everything one would wish to visit in the area. Without hesitation, I would highly re.
We had a beautiful, large room with comfortable beds and fantastic shower. The view of the countryside was amazing. We ate preserves made by the host, including fresh rhubarb sauce. He shared apples from the trees - delicious! Our host gave us great leads for exploring the area and a great scenic route to the south. We would love to come again someday!.
Location was perfect, near the Mont Saint Michel, but enough far to
avoid crowd. The room was very clean. The house and surroundings are
very quiet, perfect to relax and sightseeing the area. Jean-Malo, the
host, was always very kind, helpful and ready to give us advices and
reccomendations for visiting Saint Michel. Excellent experience!.
lovely peaceful surroundings - totally tradiational French experience.Lovely breakfast with amazing jams!!
Go to Hotel Saint Jaques in St James ( on maain street) for evening meal - looks a bit shabby but food is wonderful and good value - just 5 mins away from the Blotteries.
We stayed in a lovely cottage with the most pleasant host who offered us wonderful ideas of things to do in the area beyond the standard touristy spots. Our children enjoyed visiting the horses and swinging on the swings available to them.
Stayed here during a Normandy/Mont St. Michel trip with my husband, 2 children and my mother.
Our room was lovely, the shower pressure was fantastic and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.
The buildings, the surroundings, Jean (our host), the camaraderie, the
fresh air, breakfast, nice big rooms, good value for the money. All five
of us loved it here and would return again.
The room was spacious and clean, wi-fi was good. The owner was very friendly. This B&B is located quite close to Mont Saint Michel.
Great location for a visit to Mont St Michel, but out of the touristy surroundings. Lovely restoration of buildings. Thoughtful host.
as has been said early - charming owner, beautiful atmospheric place, good breakfast (handmade rhubarb jam mmmm...) 10 out of 10!.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, especially the homemade jam.
Very friendly and helpfull staff, clean and nice rooms, beautiful view.
host was charming
accommodation was lovely
countryside was beautiful.
Liked the host.
A little bit hot, I miss a little bit conditioning air, although I was
afraid of this matter :).
While not a problem for us, other travelers with children might note that the bathroom was on the first floor and the room for children was on the second floor. A late night trip down the steep, open staircase might be difficult for children. The room was a bit chilly at first, but warmed nicely once the space heater upstairs was turned on. It was unusually chilly when we visited!.
Didn't bring enough apples to feed the horses.
No complaints.
Little hard to find a good restaurant.
