Lovely place to stay, full of character and charm and close to all the local sites with the famous Pont D'Avignon just a stroll away and within view of the Palais Des Papes, we were in the suite with a terrace and had a good view of the Palais. Marie is very welcoming and very charming and always on hand with advise on places to go and see and recommendations of where to eat. A 15-10 minute stroll into the centre of Avignon and lovely restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good, the fruit bread was.
alla recensioner » The owner, Mairie, was wonderful - came out to lead our car in after we had gotten hopelessly lost in Avignon's narrow, confusing streets. She was helpful in countless ways and was a gracious host. Our breakfasts were more than we expected: the usual coffee, juice and croissants, and cheeses, figs from her garden, jams and yogurt. We'd head back again in an instant!. A delightful villa in a very central area of Avignon. We stayed on the second floor and had our own balcony with a view of the Popes Palace. Made to feel very welcome and sitting outside in the garden having breakfast was blissful.Highly recommend. Marie is the perfect host; gracious, informative, friendly, she made our stay a happy one. The hotel is a convenient walk from everywhere, has fine rooms and beds, serves a great breakfast, has interesting guests in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect. Highly recommended! The first night was noisy - there was a concert somewhere in Avignon, and inside the old city walls, sound simply reverberates. But that had nothing to do with Villa Margot - just with the decision to stay inside the walls of Avignon. Nothing. All good. None. Difficult to find No outlets Bed not very comfortable Not much of a breakfast.
