Great stopover on the way to the ferry. The staff were exceptionally friendly and did their best to accomodate us and our 8 month old baby son. Not too many people were staying in the hotel when we were there and the evening menu was very short - a choice of Hors d'oeuvres, a couple of main courses and a dessert buffet but all were excellent and exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was surprisingly good too. Located just off the motorway but is right next to a lake, which some of the rooms over.

Clean, nice good size room well decorated and the bathroom was luxuriously finished. Breakfast was excellent and ALL the staff friendly and well organised. Also good as has 24hr check in useful if traveling and cant guarantee arrival time.Stay here again any time. The fact it was 24 hour, we arrived very late due to a ferry cancelation. Very friendly staff and the manager helped direct us to get our car fixed, perfect. However, we didn't ask as it was only overnight. Really no real complaints. Rather dark atmosphere, some lighter paint and wall-paper would work wonders. Breakfast too expensive. single room was a little on the small side. Not the easiest place to find. Even the GPS in our hire car would not recognise the address. Facilities a bit tired and due for some refurbishment. There was nothing I didn't really like. Bathroom not disabled-friendly. The TV wasn't working and we didn't have soap in the bathroom. Restaurant was closed. Afternoon and evening (night) staff no English, extremely disorganised and chaotic, made late arrival of total group wait 2 hours to check in because the rest of the group had gone out, although rooms had been reserved and already paid for, packet of condoms left in cupboard. The cockroach and its implications. The hotel was a bit run-down in places. Breakfast not included in the price. The bedroom was cold on entering. A warm room would have been welcome. No evening meal available for the evening of our arrival. Very quiet. No vending machines. Front counter staff doubled as bar woman and every other role. Very good TV system that wasn't being used properly ie no English films and needed updating. Found the hotel difficult ot find at night, as it was not awfully well lit. Mold in bathroom room 33. Very basic Breakfast was poor, lots of items not available and had to ask for basics such as bread and coffee Restaurant was closed all weekend and this wasn't advised in advance Directions (inc map reference) are wrong and send you miles away Rooms were noisy, not from outside noise but from other guests and their dogs!. room not cleaned no clean towels. Plastic flooring in room, tiny room size and budget fixture & fittings.
