The building is a wonderful grand old hotel, the room, on the third floor is sympathetically decorated, very comfortable and has a beautiful outlook across the town and Lake Bourget. We had breakfast on the verandah each day. Mme Cornet is a perfect host, and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was fresh berries, local cheese, gorgeous conserves, bread, and croissants. The old part of Aix is 5-10 minutes walk away, with a good selection of restaurants and bars. When we're on holiday we don't.
