The staff is very helpful and gives guests great information about the local restaurants, activities, etc. We loved how quiet it was. We stayed in room #2 on the courtyard. The courtyard is filled with flowers and is a wonderful place for breakfast and planning your day. We stayed at a much more expensive hotel last year, and prefer this hostel much more!. The staff is wonderful and English-speaking! Claire even walked us a few blocks to look at an apt and introduce us to the landlady! That was even after we checked out! These people are amazing. The food is awesome for breakfast choices. Comfortable and lovely archetecture. Really felt at home.
alla recensioner » Good location, friendly and accommodating staff, lovely courtyard and spacious common kitchen … a great place to meet fellow travellers. If you're willing to spend a little more and can get Room #7 (suite with kitchenette) it has an entire wall of windows that let in light and warmth. Beautiful, comfortable, very clean, peaceful, secure, great garden and sitting areas, great location, good breakfasts, lovely staff, friendly travellers. Stayed 8 nights with spouse and teenage daughter while going to language school. We were totally charmed. A well run hostel with friendly staff. Tania was very helpful. We stayed a week and agreed a reasonable discount.The garden was a lovely place to relax in. There was an excellent book exchange because there were many books to choose from. Overall a very nice place. Friendly and competent staff, lovely colonial style layout. Basic breakfast with options at extra cost, good coffee! A plus was the breakfast starts at 7 AM, which is rare. The staff was excellent, particularly Sylvia Mora, who was exceptionally helpful and info active about the area. A very nicely renovated colonial mansion that houses a well-run and highly recomendable hostal!. WE enjoyed the quietness of the garden, where we had breakfast in. Very clean great value great location. excellent staff. Helpful staff. Everything!. location. Absolutely nothing to dislike!. Nothing. 1) We moved from a suite to a garden room. In the advertising it appeared that there was a TV and a microwave in the suite but these were in the kitchen. The two saucepans in the suite were dirty and old (this was suprising as the hostel was so clean). 2) We had to pay extra for eggs and for coffee at breakfast. But a great hostel. The couple I was traveling with did not care for the narrow "matrimonial" bed in their otherwise large room. The Breakfast food variety was limited as compared to other nearby facilities. A bit noisy at times. - Walls are very thin. If you don't sleep well, bring better earplugs. rooms were a bit cold. One bed felt damp, and did not seem to warm up. I would recommend offering hot water bottles to guests, they could fill them themselves in the kitchen. The hot water bottles would require some kind of cover, to avoid being too hot. No heat,it was so cold!. noisy.
