the host was extremely friendly and helpful, very very good even though he could not speak much english. we checked in at late night, he was still waiting for us, very very nice. location was just several steps away from the square.

This is a wonderful hotel located in the heart of the city, right off the pedestrian zone. With that said, do not attempt to the front door. We enjoyed our stay at U Zamku very much. Petr was a most welcoming and friendly host, helping with parking on arrival and numerous other things during our stay. He even posted a tripod stand, which we had left behind, to our next hotel. The location is wonderful, right under the castle, the room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfasts very good. We liked a lot the location of the hotel. They were kind enough to provide us with a castle/river view room (number 2) which was very spacious and with very confortable beds and pillows. The shower pressure was perfect and the room was well equipped. The view from the room was indeed very romantique. -

Really enjoyed our stay. Peter and Daniela were wonderful. They helped us out with restaurant tips and events currently happening in town.
Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good, with a variety of choices. We plan to return with our son and will definitely stay again at Penzion Onyx.
