  This was a great hotel. Very modern with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The room we had was very clean, in fact the whole hotel was spotless, and a good size with great shower room and good size balcony with table and 2 chairs. The bed was very comfortable. The facilities in the hotel were also very good. In the case of the experience at the hotel we were not let down. Staff were excellent, always helpful and friendly. Facilities were great; wonderful outdoor pool with towels provided and poolside service . Excellent breakfasts individually made if required.   Firstly, we never write any comments about the hotels on here as none have justified the action. Until now. Palace suites is truly a hidden gem in Split. From the moment we arrived (earlier than the required check in time) Zeljka made us feel so welcomed. I wanted to be in Diocletian Palace so I knew not to expect a big chain style hotel.   Easily one of the most welcoming, helpful and service- oriented hotels we have stayed at. The owner/ manager and his staff went out of their way to make our stay in Dalmatia a most enjoyable and rewarding one.
