  The staff on reception and dining room where very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to be accommodating. We have been there before and were not disappointed with the second visit. Room had a nice balcony with sea views. - We arrived a bit early and got a room immediately - feels good after some hours spent on the road..

  The hotel is obviously old (as almost any hotel in Opatija) but I liked the way they tried to keep it clean and pleasant for tourists. The rooms are big enough, staff really friendly. The view from the balcony is great. 10 min walk to the very center. It is located a bit further than other hotels and just a bit away from the road which is good. We were upgraded into G H Adriatic I. Breakfast was excellent, hot and cold with an outstanding selection.   We had one of the apartments and it was huge! There were decks to sit out on to take in the view. Very comfortable beds, large bathroom, everything very clean and nicely decorated.Breakfast selections were amazing - almost anything you could want! So close to beach: across the street and down some steps. Nice quiet relaxing stop on our trip. We changed hotel after we spent two nights in an awful resort and were lucky enough to get a room in the Grand Hotel. Thanks for a fabulous stay, we're looking forward to coming back!
