Great breakfast!, haven't seen the same selection and quality since Radisson Blu Resort in Split. Nice public areas. Nice staff everywhere. Reasonable prices in pool bar and hotel bar. Free use of sunbeds, parasolls, towels at nice stone beach at near by Hotel Valamar President. Air conditioned bus stops at the hotel every 10 minutes. -

Location for getting into Dubrovnik excdellent; good public transport almost outside into Dubrovnik (10 minutes) which operated until 0200. Helpful friendly staff, good breakfasts, good evening bar and entertainment.

Big modern rooms, spacious bathroom. Everything is very clean. Very nice view over the port of Gruz. Our room had a big terrace and from what I could see most of the rooms have them. Free parking (in abundance), very easy to find, situated on the main road so if you are with a car very practical for trips to other towns along the coast (no need to enter the city). All in all, to me it seems like very good value for money. In most countries that I have been to you could find rooms like this only

Everything about Hotel Lapad was first class. We arrived very early off the ferry from Bari, Italy - they stored our luggage and set us on the bus to the Old Town, which left every 10 mins from outside the hotel! The best thing of all, and I think a little known secret is the rooftop terrace overlooking Dubrovnik. My husband and I would go up there at the end of 2 hot and sweaty days, and it was the perfect place to watch the sun set and the swallows swoop over that beautiful ancient city. Excellent location in the old town. Rooms are very clean and modern and staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the fact that we didn't eat breakfast in the hotel but got breakfast cards for the restaurant in the nearby main street where food was good and we got to watch the passing parade.
