Very helpful and friendly owner of this hotel. No problem to arrange the way to Taiyuan airport. The stay was very pleasant with the possibility to stay outside the room in the inner yard. Room was small but everything want you need is there. Better to stay more than one night to experience the authentic atmosphere of this hotel and the historical center. Excellent, friendly staff! Went out of their way to provide us with a place to hang out while we waited for our midnight train. Also had a computer with internet access which helped us immensely in working out train ticket booking issue. Provided free pickup and drop off from and to train station. Traditional courtyard home setting.
alla recensioner » We loved everything about the hotel!!! We liked the traditional rooms with a Kang bed, which occupies about half the room from wall to wall and has curtains in the front to close it. The best part about the hotel are the owners and their staff; they couldn't be any friendlier or accommodating. Hotel manager was very helpful and willing, she speaks english. They offer us pick up from and to the railway station free of charge. Our train went at 10 pm and we could stay in one room to take a rest in the evening until our train went. Everything for free. It was the best service in China. The hotel is nice and small with really cozy rooms. It's in the middle of the old city of Pingyao, around 30 min walking from the train station. The staff were very nice and even if we arrived really early on the day of the check in they let us into the room. Would recommend it. The staff was incredibly helpful. When I told one of the proprietors I needed to buy a train ticket, one of other owners took me to the train station on the back of his motorcycle. They were so nice. The hotel was comfortable and the service wonderful. It's clean, has a perfect location, the stuff was very kind and friendly. They arranged a bus tickets for us from Pingyao to Xi'an and took us with their car to our bus... they did everything to make our stay nice... Was able to check in at 6am in the morning after arriving on the night train. Location is perfect. goof wifi connection. Personnel is great, they arranged free transfer to the train station. Hotel is well located in the old city of Pingyao. We arrived early and were offered our room immediately, which after a 9 hour midnight train from Beijing was a relief. The room was very authentic, and this was the real fun about it. In fact the Kung bed was much bigger than expected and our boys wanted to share with us. We really did not need the extra room we book. The room was clean when we got there. The owner is very friendly and spoke reasonable English which was great. She was very helpf. Really service oriented staff; in particular one woman was really helpfull and talked a little English (which is great in China where it's not to be expected that hotel staff speak English). When leaving; the hotel provided us free transportation to the railway station. Pretty Chinese Courtyard Hotel. Very small bathroom with the shower and toilet in the room of 1.5 m2. I wouldn't recommend eating breakfast here, but definitely staying here. No credit card service... Bathroom very small, everything gets wet when taking a shower. Pillows are terrible. Water feature Power cut. the shower was open so there was water in all the bathroom. Small room. No credit card service. The bathroom in the room we chose in hindsight was the worst bathroom ( we had the suite which had three bathrooms). We were still adjusting to the new small Chinese combo toilet / shower space to be fair. Room was not cleaned while we were there and the drain worked slowly. None of the bins were emptied during our stay. Small, warm, noisy room; but I guess that's how it is when you want to stay inside Ping Yao city walls. By the way; there are too many tourists in Ping Yao (but that's not the hotels fault). Bad plumbing and not very clean.
