  Really like the place, real Beijing feel. - By its very nature I was immersed in the Hutong and saw how those people live on a daily basis. For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.   The staff was fabulous and helpful, speaking fluent English and having lots of information for the travels around the area. The staff was the highlight of my trip to Beijing! Hens, the desk manager was simply the best ever!!! So wonderfully helpful in every aspect of traveling in the city and area. The place was wonderfully located, convenient, cl... vad folk säger » ean and friendly. Facilities were beautifully maintained and clean with very friendly staff! It was right in the middle of the local culture, stores, - The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Tienanmen Square, in a very colourful area with plenty of restaurants and shops. The room was simple but clean, the towels were changed every day. The hotel has also a very cosy bar/restaurant area, mainly used for breakfast, and one or two computers are available if you need to use the internet. Most of the staff speak English and they are happy to give you advice on the best ways to get to places. I think this is a great place to stay if you are on a

  We stayed in Beijing at Xiao Yuan Alley Courtyard Hotel for 3 nights. It is lovely small hotel in Chinese style. It is very friendly, pleasant, comfortable and cute! It is situated in an old Beijing district Hutong, which is probably the only bastion of traditional Chinese climate left. The taxi from the airport to the hotel cost us 70 yuans (according to a taximet - Featuring charming, ultra-helpful English-speaking staff; the Xiao Yuan Alley hotel provides comfortable beds and good facilities, with a superbly located downtown hutong (Beijing alley) location, sensibly priced organized tours (if you wish) and excellent and very reasonably priced food available inside and nearby outside the hotel. And it's a very affordable place. I very much want to stay at this hotel again. I get happy just thinking about it. Highly recommend.
