  The staff is exceptional -- all spoke English, even the maid. All wentout of their way to be friendly and helpful and gracious. We added on ahalf day, since our flight didn't leave til evening, and the maid camein and made up the room with fresh towels and everything while we wereat lunch.   I loved everything about Shangri-La; although abit on the expensive side but worth it. The hotel is the grandest I have ever visited, the service is excellent and has lived up to its 5-star status.   Booked in for a for a standard room and because my birthday was the following week, I was upgraded with a suite, and given wine and chocolate. Wonderful gesture, but as I had a 1am flight, wasn't able to take full advantage of staying the night. The room was always cleaned to perfection and the minibar was complimentary and the breakfast bufe seduced us back every single morning. We truly reccomend this hotel.

  The staff were attentive and the room service was prompt and the food good. The location is very central and there are lots of western shops and places to eat including the inevitable Starbucks and McDonalds. The room was large and very clean and the bathroom was excellent and very large which for a business hotel is unusual. I made a reservation for an Executive Room and when checking in I was offered a cheap upgrade to the Executive Club Floor. Excellent value for money, fantastic breakfast... Also really enjoyed the Club experience! Complimentary drinks and snacks in the late afternoon was a real treat! Been in GZ many times and this was the best hotel I stayed in so far.
