  LOVED the pool facilities and the cleanliness!!! We were also very close to family for visiting, so very convenient. Overall the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time! - Close to Elk Lake for our sport event. Nice place on site to eat, good prices. Bus to downtown two minutes away.

  Good location on the edge of 'Chinatown'. Very spacious suite with a sofa bed in the main living area and a double bed upstairs in the mezzanine. Perfect for our family of four. Kids in bed upstairs and we could call room service from the restaurant downstairs - ideal. No breakfast during the week, but there is a kitchen in the apartments and some good coffee shops on the same street. Also a goo - we were in room 307 which was very nice. Hotel overall was comfortable except that the room was too warm. The small units in each level did not cool the room very well. Loved the Cask beer in the bar downstairs. Also liked the family room next to the bar - we had a group of 20 in there on Sunday night and it was excellent - staff were great.

  I was staying at the Inn at Laurel Point because of its convenient location. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the start line of the Victoria Marathon near the legislative buildings. The staff were very attentive and friendly throughout my whole stay. This included the front desk, cleaning staff, maintenance personnel and restaurant servers. I - The location was fantastic . We stayed in room 452,the new part of the hotel and the view of the marina from our balcony was amazing. The hotel is also close to the centre of Victoria. The room was large and the housekeeping was excellent. Staff were friendly,polite and helpful at all times. We had a nice lunch at Auroa restaurant which was reasonably priced,which included several coffee refills . Overall we had a very pleasant stay

  Strathcona Hotel fitted our budget perfectly. The room was small but clean and comfortable. On our first night there was a problem with the hot water not being very hot and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was quickly fixed. Strathcona's location is perfect to access the sights of Downtown Victoria. The breakfast coupon was great and we took full advantage of the dining room and enjoyed the hearty breakfast. The location was great as we just stepped out of the door, across to the leg for the Nov. 11 ceremony. When we asked for directions to another location we were given maps and clear instructions.

  Our room on the third floor was enormous and very well equipped. It looked like it had been recently refurbished with a pleasant colour scheme of browns, creams and coffee colours. The bed was huge, firm and very comfortable. The kitchen was a good size and well equipped and there was tons of wardrobe and storage space.   I liked the breakfast, the price, the bed. If you are only staying in the hotel to sleep, it is great! - I loved the hotel -- We were given an upgrade to two one-bedroom suits, which were lovely and very comfortable. I was intrigued by the architecture of the hotel, built in 1876, and want to go back to Victoria and stay there
