We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were excellent and reasonably priced. We enjoyed sitting out on the decks overlooking Lac Sable and later swimming there.(Beach access included in the price of the room) -
Everything was really good! The food was excellent, the facility was not crowded.

The staff were very helpful with any number of things; aiding with parking a vehicle, expediting check-in/check-out procedures, and recommending great restaurants and attractions in the area. We got one of the 5th floor rooms, which meant it was really quiet. It also meant 5 flights of narrow stairs. Of course, since it's a historical building (like much of Quebec City) building codes prevent the addition of elevators, so this is par for the course. Beautifully reno'd room and bathroom, though the ceiling was a bit low due to the angle of the roof. Close to lots of nearby shopping and restaurants in the old city (and the lower old city, too, which was a bit cheaper).

Very well located, far from the road so we dont hear any noise. -
Matane is simply awful, but the Riotel is an oasis in a desert of ugliness. You can have dinner and breakfast at the hotel and never have to go out

I was worried by some of the recent reviews, but my room was clean and
comfortable. The breakfast is typical for a hotel continental breakfast.
The staff was very pleasant and accommodating to our requests. -

I enjoyed use of the hot tub, though the hot tub could have been on a warmer temperature. Interestingly, maybe you folks up in Quebec can handle cold better than heat, I just left it at that. - The staff was very friendly, and the English speaking staff were eager to help the French speaking staff while communicating with us.

I was travelling with friends (we had 3 rooms) to see the Moncton Wildcats play Shawinigan. We ate at the restuarant 3 times. Even though we spoke no french, we had a great laugh with the staff and they were extremely friendly and just did a great job. -
location was great, lovely view of the St. Maurice, right near a part and great restaurants,

The room was perfect, no carpets. Walls bright and the high ceilings made the room seem huge. Tv could have been larger. Loved that the windows opened up to fresh air. Nobody disturbed us with nonsense. We would recommend this hotel. Breakfast was pleasant, would have enjoyed more selection of fresh fruit and yogurt or cheese from across the road

Checked in very late, yet someone was there to welcome us and was very accommodating. Got up a little late for breakfast, but still received excellent service, above and beyond anything experienced anywhere else in the past.

The staff was extremely helpful. Melanie at the front desk was so nice that it broke our hearts to say good bye to her! The location is beautiful and the ski mountains are right in the back! Everyday tons of people would be in the parking lot of the hotel for paragliding. The basilica was 5 minutes away and Quebec City was 20 mins away. All in all

Small studio perfectly designed and efficient, had everything we needed. Front desk staff accomodated our early arrival and gave us an apt so we could change and ski....and recommended a restaurant for dinner, off the beaten track that was exceptional " The Baker".. Overall an excellent experience and we would stay again.
