I loved that Jergen & Inga were so knowledgable about the area
& could recommend things to do and places to eat. And, most of
all, Inga makes wonderful breakfasts that you won't want to miss!

Excellent and very considerate staff willing to go an extra two miles to
insure that our stay was good as well as convenient. Before leaving home
we were called by the manager to indicate that the road for travel
beyond was closed and that we could cancel our reservation, if we needed
to travel an alternate route. We decided to come anyway and by the time
we were ready to leave, the manager had already checked the routes to

The location is perfect. It's close to the Inner Harbour, BC Parliament Building and the famous Fairmount Empress. Walking less than five minutes, you will be at the coast. The Douglas Street, which is the street that Helm's Inn is on, has tons of restaurants, convenient stores and shops. You can easily walk a restaurant and grab something to eat. The room, itself was a nice surprise with a jacuzzi tub, a granite counter in the bathroom and the textured walls. The bed was good.
We also enjoyed the patio furniture that has been provided for guest so folks can enjoy the out doors.
We didn't use the barbeque, but others did.
I certainly recommend this hotel.

The location was fantastic as it was within walking distance to parks, beaches, and a cute village of shops and restaurants. There was also a large shopping centre across the street with a very good grocery store. Our room was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Tables and chairs on the terrace outside our room were a nice touch. We also enjoyed the huge outdoor pool. There was also a hot tub and an indoor pool which we did not use.

i liked the fact it was very quite, untill the next room slammed the door at 6.30aM, the one who complained at 8.30 pm that we had the fan running in the bathroom,, she needs help. it was a clean room with nice veiw and was not expensive. the staff was very freindly, would stay again. -
