  This place was fantastic. For the price I didn't expect so much. We had a 2 bedroom cottage, which was very clean. There was a kitchen and dining area and had we known how great it was, we would've booked a longer stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were near Cabot Trail and in Cape Breton which are beautiful, clean, and so open and majestic. The restaurants are non franchise. They are owned locally and the seafood is delicious.

  Check-in was efficient. The suite is large, and has a large separate bedroom which was perfect to put our daughter to bed in our travel cot, and then we could still watch tv in the sitting room. The suite is very nicely furnished with quality toilettries. We had dinner downstairs in the restaurant which was convenient - the ribs and spinach salad ... vad folk säger » was good, and the nova scotian wine was surprisingly drinkable. We went to Evangeline's for breakfast just a few minutes down the road which was also - The suite I booked was specifically designed for wheelchair accessibility. They did an excellent job with the design! While many accommodations bill themselves as accessible, this is not always the case. Bay Winds is by far the best I've stayed in yet. Staff were very accommodating and my stay was fabulous!

  The accommodations consisted of a kitchen, washer, dryer, living room, bathroom and bedroom. It was spacious, clean and bathroom/laundry items were provided. The availability of a washer and dryer was a great amenity to have since we packed light and were doing a lot of hiking. Magnificent location overlooking the ocean, lovely comfortable accommodation and a most obliging and friendly host. Conveniently located for walks in Cape Breton NP.
