  The hotel absolutely accommodated my somewhat specific requests about not having a room close to elevator, ice machine, not having an adjoining room and otherwise potentially noisy areas. The result was a fabulously quiet and relaxing 5-day stay. - The room is spacious.   That is was clean, nicely kept (no mold on ceilings or funky smells). The staff was friendly and helpful. I liked that it kind of felt like you were in the country, even though you really weren't. I loved the centre area with the lawn chairs so you could relax with coffee in the morning. It was nice to be able to park at your door.   We really enjoyed staying in the student Resident units in place of a hotel, for a few reasons. Bringing our own utensils and soaps, dish cloths, etc., was something we just knew because we were familiar with our son having stayed at an Ottawa university. Really liked that, because we could utilize the large fridge; cheese, grapes, berries, cold... vad folk säger » drinks, milk, juice. kitchen! 2 bedrooms were nice to have because husband has a sleep disorder, so we were both able to sleep well. Bathroom was - I like that it was close to transit hub and an easy 15 min bus ride to downtown Ottawa. It was clean and well maintained, both inside and out (landscaping etc). The staff were quick and efficient, we checked in at 3 pm with a large group also checking in and didn't have to wait very long. Staff were knowledgeable about the area and what was available for restaurants and attractions. Heather was especially helpful with some great tips on the area.
