Very spacious with a good size sitting room, a nice dining area and a full kitchen with 4 appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave) and everything you need ( plates, cutlery, pots, etc...). Excellent location, right on the bus route and walking distance to the Parliament and several other attractions. . -

This place has everything. You don't even have to pull out your laptop! Computer AND PRINTER all in your room. Free laundry on one floor, exercise room, great free breakfast and close enough to walk downtown to the tourist areas. Four or so blocks down side street to Rideau Canal -- great walking site! Will definitely stay here again if I have the pleasure of another trip there.

I enjoyed the pool and way it was set up., particularly as it was divided into in essence a shallow and deep pool. Very good for young children. The hot tub was also a great addition. While the water was warm.
I liked the fact that you had two internet connected computers easily accessible.

Having stayed at the Southway a half dozen times in the last ten years, this visit was the best by far--perhaps it has something to do with the change of ownership?? The reception staff were excellent: getting me a coffee while I waited to check-in (the system was down) and then giving me 10% discount vouchers. The same ready and pleasant service

I liked the clean homey atmosphere of the hotel and also the fact that
it is only a 5 min drive to the Casino and race track. Staff were very
helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the Shallows restaurant --- got an upgrade
during the current renovations and appreciated that very much.

The accommodations were like a home away from home. The cleaning staff were very personable and cheerful as were front desk personnel. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. Delicious vegetarian options. Thank you for a lovely experience. -

The Cartier Place is a wonderful hotel. Centrally located to many of
the attractions. One feature that we enjoyed was the kitchenette.
Helped save us a little money by cooking breakfast in the morning so we
were not rushed to get out of the hotel in the mornings to find
something to eat.

The Chimo Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We were in Ottawa to attend our grand daughter's hockey tournament. The staff seemed to put us on a floor that didn't have hockey groups on the same floor. Therefore it was quiet at night for sleeping. We had a family emergency and had to leave early The hotel were very understanding

Upon check in, we were served by a fella who was covering a break. He had several lines ringing, and 3 check ins in front of him. He did a wonderful job in spite of these obstacles. He was very apologetic! Obviously experienced at multi tasking and serving the public. Well done!

It's centric. My room and my bed were big. Good/affordable meals. - The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Pierre who was working the front desk on Dec 31st and Jan 1st he was outstanding in his customer service. Our interaction with Pierre made the trip memorable.

The room was quite comfortable and clean. It was perfect having the desk space as I could set up and work there during the evening. The hotel is "hidden from view" as it were. It is a bit out of the way (and close to a somewhat run down area), yet in reality, super-close to everything that matters in downtown Ottawa, and easy access to transportation. So, lesser known which gives it a good price for an excellent location. And rooms spacious for the size. Young staff very helpful and polite.
