  We got a free upgrade to the best room with spa bath and since no one else was booked that day - had the whole house to ourselves. It's really original in medieval style - slanted floors, antique furniture and even had a spooky feel to it which we thought was awesome! These A+ and is highly recommended in terms of value! - The building is very cool and the rooms are extremely comfortable. The hostess was not only a great chef, but fun to talk to. She had an extremely extensive knowledge of the city - sites, stores, restaurants - and made our stay in Montreal one to remember. We will stay here again when we take another vacation to Canada. There are tons of places to see and things to do within walking distance.

  I like all of this place. The owner were so friendrly and took good care of their guests. The breakfast was an event just by itself and daily surprise.   The Breakfasts were more than expected each day. The Host, Roc took orders for pancakes or omelets each day, enjoyed with the choice of fruit, yogurt, croissants & coffee. Blandine checked me in & out, and was very courtious and helpful with tour pamphlets & explained where tourist spots were found, on tour guides or maps. Location very convenient to the Metro and inexpensive parking. We left our car parked for the entire visit. Beautiful old building with exposed brick and lots of trim work. Ac in the room (#4) worked well or we could just open one of the the newer windows. Breakfasts were also one of the high points of our stay. This will be our first choice for future visits to Montreal.

  Tony's knowledge of Montreal and points of interest was spot on we never had to drive our rental car while we were there.   LeCartier completely exceeded our expectations. Richard, was very friendly and knowlegable of his beloved city and helped us to enjoy all the city has to offer.
