  Leila and Luiz are fantastic hosts. They make you feel at home in their house and help out willingly and effectively. The location is very unique, located between the city center and South part of town, it's possible to reach any part of Rio quickly. 10 minute walks lead you to busses, a very famous statue or an often filmed and safe favela. I felt lucky to have come across this lovely family residence before they become to popular. I felt a welcome guest of the family rather than a customer.   We went to check in and there had been an issue with the booking as the hotel was overbooked. The staff were excellent and very professional and actually moved us to another one of their hotel - the Windsor Leme - right on the beach. They took care of everything really quickly and efficiently. We really enjoyed our stay. - The rooms were very small, basic but had everything I need. It was clean. The saff were helpfull and kind all time. The hotel is near copacbana beach and very close to public transportation including metro. The breakfast was very good and delicious. This is a 4 star hotel. Do not expect luxry. I recommend this hotel anyone who has limited budget but looks for the best possible options and values

  This was a great hostel to stay in, gave me and my friend a real insight into the side of brazil you dont normally see, the favelas. To my surprise it was totally safe staying there with police on every corner and a police station right next door to us. Staff were really helpful in showing us around the area and answering any questions we had.
