  Hotel Rondonia is a nice place to stay. We had 4 quite rooms (on level 8). Breakfast is very good....and so is the location. - Service was good, breakfast had nice choices, room got cleaned everyday.

  The staff was excellent and very helpful, there was always at least one English speaking employee at the front desk, access to the Metro (subway) and bus lines was a piece of cake, and our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.   We spent three nights at the R&C Santa Teresa and were very happy with our choice for romantic vacation. The room was very nice and very clean. The design of hotel is awesome. The staff is very friendly and this is valid for everybody (security, front desk, waiters, room service etc). The area itself is interesting and from what I gather has some cool drinking holes and restaurants. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!

  Ok, this is not a five-star hotel, but they don't charge a five-star price either. My opinion is, you get exactly what you pay for. It's in Lapa, this means it probably used to be in a slum.
