  The hotel owners, an extremely friendly Italian couple creates a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is delicious and has every day another surprise. The location is great and you can easily walk to the center or to the peaceful Santo Antonio. I traveled by myself and certainly recommend the area and the hotel for female single travelers... vad folk säger » as well as couples. - The Studio do Carmo hotel is a fantastic charming hotel, well situated, in the historic center, but away from the noise. The rooms are big, confortable, (clean!), and the people over there are really nice and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay, and highly recommend this place!

  Staff is AMAZING! Simple hotel, no luxuries, but clean, close to banks, pharmacy, shopping mall, and one block from the beach. Plenty of transportation to everywhere. Simple but tasteful breakfast included in price. Would stay there again. I found this hotel last minute, when changing from a bad one I had reserved. Advertisement says 10 mins walk to Pelorinho, but is a 25 minute taxi ride.

  The staff were awesome, they were really helpful and went above and beyond. The breakfasts were great, with lots of variety. My private room was huge and most of the dorms I saw were good too (the four beds in particular). - the front desk staff Daniel and Juan were very helpful and warm.
