Newtown Space ligger i en historisk collegebyggnad från 1917, omgiven av de vackra trädgårdarna vid Sydney University. Här erbjuds gemensamt TV-rum och pentry. Alla rum har skrivbord, garderob och fläkt. I vissa rum finns ett eget badrum.
Det tar 7 minuter att gå från Newtown Space till Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Du bor 5 minuters promenad från de populära butikerna, restaurangerna och barerna på King Street. Busshållplatserna ligger bara 3 minuters promenad bort.
Som gäst har du tillgång till bagageförvaring och en tvättstuga med självbetjäning. Här finns även automater med mat och dryck.

The communal areas provided opportunities to meet and talk to other Travellers
It was hard to beat this venue for cost and for those like us wanting to stay in Sydney for over a week provided excellent value for money.
Although well out of the centre of Sydney, the local bus services running through Newtown are excellent and easy to use.alla recensioner
Cheap, clean, great location. Nice staff. Based in Sydney Uni which is a lovely old university. I felt like I was walking into the set of Harry Potter.
Short walk to King St for a huge variety of breakfast choices & buses to the city centre.
Will definitely use it again.
brand new rooms (4* standard), on the upper floors, in an old heritage college building. bath rooms are brand new too. There is a good breakfast for 10$. laundry facilities for 3$ :-).
Excellent value, and the place had character. It was spartan but more than adequate for the purpose. Pleasantly surprised for the quality.

The room was renovated and bathrooms were lovely, the campus grounds are very pretty, the location is very convenient and close to central station, buses, taxis etc.
Great location and very cheap for inner-city. Close to Newtown's King St. It's a bit like Hogwarts and I did get lost in the labarynth of corridors and wings.

It was calm and location was attractive.
The Sydney University, which is where the hotel is situated, is a lovely old building and very close to Sydney and Newtown which is great for shopping and entertainment.
I liked it when I was moved away from the main entrance to a cleaner room.
The grounds were lovely.

The kitchen had only basic equipment; hot water, sink, toasters, and microwaves, which made it difficult to prepare proper meals.
Only issue was we couldn't get our electronic key to work in the after hours door - luckily some other guys arrived and helped us get in.
Nothing to dislike - we went in expecting little and got more!.
Room was adjacent to public washrooms and was very noisy during the night and early morning
In room TV did not work(?).
The TV didn't have reception and the TV in the common room also didn't work. It would have been great if there was a bar fridge & kettle.

The bathroom cleanliness wasn't great..

I was at the other end of the long corridor to the female bathrooms and the men's was opposite.
one of the beds was very uncomfortable with the springs coming through.
The bed was hard and only one very thin blanket and we were freezing cold. The staff did not program our key properly and we had to go all the way back to reception 3 times which was very annoying as we had been travelling and were very tired when we arrived.
No aircon and shared bathroom but hey, it's under 70 bucks a night!.
1) A bit far from city center; 2) No free WiFi. 3) Dirty kitchen and common area with cockroaches.
No elevator, so you have to carry your suitcase up the stairs...
The facilities were not good. No internet. The location was a bit hard to access.
I did not like the first night when I was put in a room next to the night entrance as the opening and closing of the door kept me awake for most of the night. The corridor light lit up the room all night the room was dirty though linen clean.

Minimal towels,pillows and room cleaning.
Wasn't advised what type of accommodation this was. Or that there were stairs involved or that it was students accommodation within the uni. Not advised that there was a $100 deposit even though the accommodation was prepaid.
The place stank old and musty. Could not sleep there. Left in the middle of the night.
The place was old, dank, dusty, tired, decrepit.
