  The staff were very helpful and friendly. Was central to everything. Was very peaceful. Had activities for the kids to keep them occupied and most of all was the price which was very reasonable.   Clean and comfortable. I very much liked that they caterered very well for smokers with facilities outside each room with nice little table and chairs. We did enjoy this, it also provided an opportunity to socialise with other motel guests. Very nice touch. - The cleanliness, and the staff were so friendly!   Everything is close. The backpacker is more like a villa. Stayed in a double room, was very good and spacious. There's a calm bar inside. Left my bag there after check out without problem. - The hostel was very clean and spacious. We were on an 8 bed dorm and it was fantastic with great facilities.   This is such a friendly hotel and the staff were so helpful it was a pleasure to stay there. Our room was pretty standard but good enough and very clean. About ten minutes walk into town which was far enough out to be quiet and peaceful from the night life.Loved the local connection to Papua New Guinea and the artwork at the hotel. Rosemary arrang... vad folk säger » ed a boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Compass Cruises which was a fantastic day and great value - Location was convenient to the "Esplanade" and local shopping and restaurants. The manager, Rosemary, was very helpful. We arrived a number of hours before we were supposed to check in and our room was already ready for us. The manager helped us book our tours and even drove us to the wharf on the day, so we wouldn't be late and this was greatly appreciated.

  Nice cabin with all facilities. Even wifi reception. Sadly it rained the whole time we were there, but if the wheater would have been good I'm sure we would have had a nice time. - The friendly atmosphere and very helpful staff, whom were of great assistance with day trip bookings. We did like it that much, we extended our stay.

  Plenty of parking, easy access, we stayed in one of the large rooms which was very comfy, and no intrusive traffic noise. No complaints about anything. Staff were friendly, Steve was very helpful. All-in-all a very good stay. It was totally booked out when we stayed.
