  Not being to Portland for a number of years we decided on an overnight stay - chose Bentinck - excellent position, room/facilities tastefully decorated, amazed at being an old hotel did not smell of stale beer or smoke. No noises a comfortable peaceful night was had by both. Staff were very obliging advising/suggesting sites of Portland. - The Ho... vad folk säger » tel is beautifully restored, we stayed in room 28 and it is just prefect. Unfortunately the vibration and noise from the bar below made it impossible to sleep until 1.00 If you had a function on yourself and wouldn't be needing sleep until 1.00 its perfect.
