There was an initial problem as I booked a twin room but got a double, for the first night the staff gave me an extra room for no extra cost, then stated that if I found another hotel, they would refund the difference, however, the staff realised that they had made a mistake and gave me the extra room for the rest of my stay at no extra cost, also I had to vacate the room at 10am, but my transfer was not until 4pm, the staff let me keep the room for the extra time for no extra cost, the rooms w.
alla recensioner » We stayed in a very nice, clean king bedroom with a great colour scheme. There is a small en-suite and comfy bed. A map of Port Douglas at reception. Free internet on provided ipad. Great customer service - reception is a phone, I called them twice and we waited 10mins. Lady came and apologised and gave us our keys, then the owner came and knocked on the door and apologised profusely with a bottle. Brilliant location. Would definitely stay again. in room 5 the bed was too soft but the manager (after ringing her) changed it easily to room 8 . had a great sleep. there is no check in counter , more like an atm where you put a pin code in and get your key for your room. it was simple and efficient. I felt it saves having extra staff and that saving reflects in the price , 108 for a great room with airconditioning /bathroom , tea/coffee , mini fridge. right in town. great value. The recent, I think, redecorating was fantastic. Black and white décor looked amazing! simple but great! Having an ipad provided was fantastic, too, as we didn't have one. The black and white theme was carried out through the whole building, inside and out- very well done. congratulations. the checking in system was different than we had ever experienced, but was easy to do. Very neat & clean, good location & good value. Room and bathroom a bit small but manageable. Mini bar had everything that was neeaded and cheap not like other hotels, loved the 'Honest Box' idea where you paid for what you use and put cash in the box as it's a self checkin/checkout. Ipad inroom was very handy too, again another good idea. For a budget price had an extra element of class. Booked after reception had closed via I Internet but the owners returned our call by text with instructions to access our accommodation. Free parking & central location yet quiet a bonus!. The accommodation was very clean & comfortable, situated in the middle of the main street ideal for shops, restaurants & reef trips. We also liked how 10% of our bill went to a charity of our choice. There is also off street parking. Liked the concept that part of the rate went to a charity of our choice. Liked the location. Liked the simplicity of the establishment and accommodation in an area that is overly endowed with "resort" type accommodation. We required a bed for a few hours sleep and this was ideal. Not so good if you needed to spend any length of time in the room as very compact, very central to everything. It was in a great location and the price was great and our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. Would recommend for anyone to stay here. It was a flash packer a nice touch was the free to use I Pad in the room and the free internet The room was modern with an ensuite bathroom. Loved the no hassles. No reception which worked well because help was only a phone or text away. Staff very helpful and accommodating. No towel rails - just a small double hook. All simple things I'm sure they will fix and shouldn't affect others stay. nothing. Nothing, the whole experience and location of the accommodation in the main street was great,. It's next to a backpacker bar/pub and can be very noisy, especially when there's people on the street yelling. Window doesn't seem to block the noise at all. All good!. Did not like the fact that the front door did not lock. Could be noisy with the balcony door open. Our room needed a security grill on the window so we could oped our window, because the back veranda ran along our room we felt it wasn't safe to leave the window open at night so had to run the fan all night. Would have been nice to have fresh air. Would save on electricity also. The room had a noisy fan. Nothing. a little noise from the street at night. Street cleaners/council workers started at dawn early preventing any sleep in. Not a bad reflection on the accommodation just worthy to note. very noisy A/con. needed to be on in evening to cut out rowdy back packers next door!!!. Not enough milk in the fridge for cuppa's.... The stairs.. A/C bit noisy. Could of been a little cheaper. Or discount for locals offered. The dodgy decor and 'thank you' written on wall. No Free WiFi which is rare!! No reception & phone line only available 1-5pm. Nothing. Nothing. No proper receptionist. None, thank accommodation is always our first chice for a weekend trip away from cairns. No notice of how to get in after front door is locked at night. No signage. Check in ....there wasnt one Skinny hallway venetian blinds behind pillow We would rather know in advance about charitable donations in respect of our paying price. Expected it to be more of an apartment type accommodation, not just one room. the noise and the smell of paint fumes which gave me a migraine we stay one night and no sleep decide to seek other accomodation hotel had name change so hard to find eclipse to thank you very disappointed giving the reveiws we read on web site booked ourselves in no personilization 2 people only coffee for one.
