Spa room was a great room, staff were more than helpful was lovely to that we could go downstairs and choose breakfast (great choices) and able to take back to the room. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here in fact every time we go back to Geelong to visit this will be our place of stay. credit to all :). - staff very friendly and helpful - large and clean room - great starting point for the Great Ocean Road I would definitely recommend this hotel when you are travelling to Geelong or looking for a hotel close to Melbourne.

Our unit was very spacious and well positioned, close enough to the CBD for shopping and only minutes away from the beach front. We had no traffic noise. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. How close it was to the Water front. The staff were great and nice. Friendly Staff. location. nothing at all. Nothing. nothing!!!!. There was hair in the bathroom sink drain trapped under the strainer. Nothing. There was no where to lock a bike, it had to be taken in to the room. The Hotel charges extra for credit cards. Difficult to locate at night, due to road & rail proximity. Sheets & blankets instead of a doona. nothing. The only down side was the mix up with our booking on arrival. This was due to key problems but this was quickly fixed. More accessible power points near beds for things like phone chargers, CPAP machines. fried tomato. Only negative was that I had to catch an early plane and as breakfast dining area didn't open till 730am I had to head into town to find something to eat. 630am or 7am opening would have been ideal. Need better blind in the bathroom. Road noise. The balcony faces the highway. all ok. The main road so close by- Although there were double glasses doors to minimize the noise. could do with new curtains a bit dirty and beds need to be updated. Noises from what we presume is the plumping in the the unit above the unit we were in. The unit is really ready for an update. The kitchen is big & functional but very old. Curtains were very dirty. We couldn't get the electric blanket to work. Bed very uncomfortable Water pressure dreadful in the shower Breakfast could have been better presented and less expensive given we paid $160 a night We were not told the apartment was on 2nd floor. It was not that clean, outdated, street noise,. Bed was hard as a rock and kept up the whole night by passing trains and other people staying in other rooms. Not a good variety in room snacks/drinks to buy Very noisy Beds hard Parking not very secure. Not very clean smell of old building old kitchen old bathroom uncomfortable couch. no 4 star maybe 3 star. I can't believe its a 4 stars. We spent 2 nights in this hotel because all of the hotels around were fully booked.( Surf competition). Its expensive, old, smelly. Location is bad and its next to the freeway, lot of noise! It looks like a backpacker , you can hear every sounds from the next room. Don't go there.
