The location was great - only minutes' walk from the railway station. Our queen en-suite room was adequate; the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom larger than average. There were numerous sitting areas and a communal lounge with a super-size TV, while the self-serve breakfast room was open 24/7, with complimentary home-made cake available in the refrigerator. Location, Ambience. The location in the centre of town. The only negative was the lack of a lift, as everything - reception, rooms, etc. was up a flight of steep stairs. Good exercise though!. The bed was hard and the pillows were too soft. The stairs up to reception and the accommodation were a steep and many. There were no negatives. I received much more than I expected and the atmosphere was 1st Class. Need heavier curtains to block out the street lights. car parking. it is too old. No temperature control in room and it was cold. A lift would help the avoid steep stairs, unsuitable for handicapped guests. Also an uneven floor throughout. cats in kitchen, dog in and out of roomd and pooed in hallway- yuk, also price we paid was inflated to rates displayed, so we felt ripped off, bathtubs filthy. basic accomodion. Steep stairs. Non heated building. The paper thin walls where every sound next door could be heard. The cold water tap in the basin did not work. The blinds did not work properly. The stairs to the car park were very rickety. No individual climate controll.
