Bicheno by the Bay offers self-contained holiday cottages, most with Tasman Sea views. Each cottage is equipped with cooking facilities, including microwave and oven. Motel-style rooms are also available. Surrounded by native bushland, Bicheno by the Bay Tasmania is a 3-minute walk from Bicheno town centre, the Blowhole, Whalers Lookout and the Foreshore Footway. Each of the free-standing timber bungalows has their own kitchen, bathroom, separate bedrooms and lounge room. All have a private terrace off the lounge room and main bedroom. The motel-style rooms include electric blankets, heating, flat-screen TV and DVD player. Each has a spacious modern bathroom with shower, plus a private terrace. Facilities include a heated outdoor pool, full-size tennis court and a children’s playground.

We stayed in one of the hotel rooms. It was very spacious. The shower was awesome, better than our own at home. They use tank water for the toilets, which is nice to see. The guy in charge even warned us that the penguin tours werent seeing many pengiuns, just in case we were thinking of booking in. He gave us tips on other locations we might find just as many on our own. The motel rooms overlook the little canoe lake, so it was a great setting to sit out on the deck and drink wine and eat chee.
alla recensioner » Location was fabulous.Walking distance to everything. Great little town with wonderful foodie stores, restaurants, surfy/ beach/ designer stores. Beaches are gobsmackingly beautiful and pristine. It was a treat seeing the wildlife around the grounds up close and, toasting marshmallows around the fire pit at dusk awaiting the penguins coming ashore was a delight. Accommodation was large, clean and well appointed.welcoming helpful staff too. Would return. The cabin we stayed in was spacious, clean and we appreciate that we were provided a cot for our baby. First impressions were great when we walked in and found a clean spacious kitchen, a spacious living space and comfortable bedroom. There was even a washing machine, which was a nice surprise. We had an excellent stay in bicheno. Our 8 year old loved the lake for kayaking and the heated pool. Great location and very helpful staff. For family friendly place There was heaps of room and space in each cottage and between cottages, so there wasnt early morning noises from early risers. This accommodation is in an outstanding situation in Bicheno. It is well-equipped and comfortable and set in charming grounds which host many species of birds and animals which can be easily observed. There are good laundry facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location superb on the coast with penguins returning to their nestlings just a short walk away, and the manager helping to cover my torch with cello for the penguin viewing. Motel rooms very well appointed. Whole park well treed and easy walk to everything. We stayed in one of the new motel style rooms which are lovely, very modern and clean. Great fancy bathroom. lovely verandah to sit out on. 5 min walk to town, the beaches and the blowhole. lovely sound of banjo frogs in the evening and a visit by a roo. Bedding to accomodate family up to 10-11 people and everybody can stay together and have fun! There is heater and warmer for 9 bedding. 1 shower and 2 toilet. Great location. Overall the accomodate is good and recommended for big family. I liked the feeling that you were in a country family setting, even though you were only minutes from all the local facilities and the beach, plus there were safe activities for children & the whole resort was eco friendly. This place was a great stop over point during the tour of Tasmania. Close to all restaurants. The room was modern, convenient and had all required amenities. The staff were also helpful with local information. Great views of bay and solitude. Had small bungalow but when grandkids visited, there was still enough room for them to each and relax. Its always been a special spot for me since its inception!. Our bungalow had a wonderful water view, It also had everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. The manager (Andrew) was extremely helpful. The TV was huge and modern. We loved it. Thrilled with the self contained cottages and the sea views. Great facilities, helpful owners, great weather. Our 3 days were too short. Would not consider any other option in Bicheno. We stayed in the four bedroom chalet with 6 adults and 4 kids and found there to be plenty of room. The location was brilliant as we loved waking up each morning with a view of the sea. We had a motel room near the little lake and it was very pretty. Nice deck to sit and have a drink and listen to the frogs. V clean and comfortable. Walk to beach and town. V peaceful. Sea view. Very relaxing. Close to shops and restaurants. Hospitable and knowledgable staff who were very helpful, especially about selection of activities in the surrounding district. Bicheno is a beautiful place. We've seen some little penguins on the seaside close to the accommodation for free. We enjoyed our stay and the reception staff were verry friendly and helpfull, the room and poolweregreat. We will stay again. We loved the tranquil setting, right by the beach. The cabin was lovely and cosy, nicely decorated with some extra touches. Loved it all , the highlight of our sojourn, lovely people, locals, food etc, would love to go back in the height of summer. I loved the cleanliness of the unit, and the comfortable beds. The bathroom was the only downside and even that wasn't horrible, just a bit outdated. Bicheno itself was a small quaint town. If you plan on arriving after 5pm, I would recommend that you stop beforehand and bring a meal to prepare yourself as the 3-4 restaurant choices weren't all that impressive. Nothing. nothing - all good. Only one shower room. I don't think off hand that I can say anything that isn't positive about Bicheno by the bay. (Just couldn't find a tea towel to dry dishes but used paper towels and did tell reception when I left, without too much fuss. First time shampoo was not included in complimentaries, so got caught!. Nothing. Some of the equipment such as the heaters were a little out dated and didn't work. No breakfast included in tariff. Sign postimg as you come into town from North .Confusion with which restaraunts are open ( especially on a Monday) and those that do not operate at all. none. We thought bbq facilities would be great as the room we stayed in had no cooking facilities. Nothing, just perfect. We arrived at 6.05pm on a Saturday in December and found reception had already closed. This was no problem as there were instructions waiting for us, however I do find that an early time to close in summer. There were still 2 hours of good daylight. No wifi in our cabin. Finding out that I paid $300 for my 2 night stay(room only) by booking through internet when I could have paid significantly less for the two nights($217) by contacting the resort. Typical of all Australian accommodation, a fee for wi-fi access. Could hear noise from room next door. There were two flights of steps up to our apartment, not good as we were both 73 ywar old women. I did e-mail before hand and told them that. Said ocean views - very limited - seen ocean views through lots of trees. Very hilly not good for older people. Plus was dearest place we stayed in Tasmania. nothing. Nothing. Television shelf - in an awkward position. Nothing. Very very squeaky floorboards. loved everything. Too expensive Not insulated well enough for the winter climate. nothing.
