I arrived after the experience of the cities and traffic in Vietnam and

This place blew our mind and ruined us for other resorts. Amazingly beautiful and peaceful and at a decent price. We had a deluxe room on the water with an astonishing view. The room, the bathroom, well just about everything was of the highest standard. Breakfast was included and was good. Because it's quite out of the way (Hué is at half an hour ride away) - you'll probably dine or have lunch at their restaurant, which has excellent food.

We spent 4 nights at the Orchid Hotel in Hue. From the time we made our reservation, arranged for airport pick-up and throughout our stay the staff was very responsive and extremely helpful. We were greeted by Kim - very friendly lady, who served us some breakfast as soon as we arrived (early morning) and then arranged for us to use a spare room for a shower as our room wasn't ready. Then she arranged a day trip for us involving a trip down the river, then a driver who met us and took us to the Royal Tombs and the Citadel. Then she made a recommendation for dinner. Everything was absolutely superb - including the room which was fantastic value for money

We've arrived at the hotel in the morning after 14 hour train journey from Hanoi. We were picked up by a very nice hotel rep from the train station ($4) who carried our 2 backpacks to the hotel for us and refused our help. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed warmly by the staff and invited to have breakfast since we were early and our room was being prepared. It was such a nice touch, we didn't expect it at all! Much appreciated after the long journey.

There is a nice surprise when you enter the hotel :) Staff is very friendly, breakfast is great, room was big and clean, location right in the street with restaurants. We rented bikes that were ok. Best hotel during our 3 week trip in Vietnam, great value for money. We would strongly recommend it.

The hotel is new and in a very good location, although it is in the centre but at the same time being in the small quiter street takes the main street's noise away. The staff is very polite, always helpful and attentive. Rooms are spacious, clean with a nice view through the windows (at least we had a city and river view which was nice). The swimming pool at the 5th floor is amazing! And the bar + restaurant on the top floor gives you again a nice view. Breakfast really good, everyone will find
