  I thought the Inn had everything that we needed for our week end in Newport, RI. The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was great.   We recently stayed at the Bouchard Inn for out 10 year Anniversaty. After reading many positive reviews I figured we would check it out. This place is fabulous! For starters, the price was great! The location is great on Thames Street, you can walk e - Bouchard was close to almost everything when walking, and the beach was only a short drive away. The room was very clean and comfortable, although a bit small. The morning pastries were hot and delicious when delivered to the door. My sister and I were able to check in early which was great. We noticed that there was construction going on (they are obviously expanding) and the innkeeper told us upfront that there was a small hole in one of the walls of our room.   Request for a room with a view was honored. The corner room had three large windows looking out to the city and a nearby bell tower/steeple which chimed on the hour...must to our delight. Not in the least bit annoying as others have stated. Quite charming. Beds were luxuriously comfortable. Can't recall a more enjoyable hotel stay. However, they were able to accommodate us and one of our rooms was better than we had originally booked, at no extra cost, so - result! Only stayed one night so don't feel we got the full benefit of the hotel, however the staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly in relation to the missing booking.
