The staff, contrary to some of the reviews, were extremely pleasant and helpful and the quality of the finishings of the hotel very pleasing. I had requested a small single room but was given a standard room on the 19th floor which very tastefully furnished.

  I checked into Grand Hyatt in Dec2013. I was pleasantly surprised by how big the rooms are; at least, twice as big as any other hotel that I have stayed in for a price around $400. The rooms are extremely good in terms of maintenance and all the facilities that you would expect of Hyatt. Lobby included coffee shop and snack area . Nice bar area . We didn't use the restaurent or breakfast facilities preferring to eat out .

  The quietness. Like a retreat. Great food. - Staff were courteous and efficient. Checked in early but no rooms were available, they said they would call me when I could go to the room. They did. The room I got I didn't like (close to elevator door and TV not straight in from of bed). They upgraded me to quieter corner room.

  The staff was very friendly, the pictures of the hotel is real: "What you see is what you get" - The beds are comfortable, rooms has a good size for a hotel in Manhattan - Clean and nice! The bar is open til 02.00 and has a smoking area. There is free coffe in the lobby in the mornings, and fresh water and ice tea doing the day. Staff is helpful... что говорят » and smiling. All in all it is a really good and nice hotel to stay in. It is quiet at night time, and is therefor both family friendly as group fri - The staff were brilliant. On check in we discovered another persons luggage in our room. They promptly removed that and then put us in another room....along with 3 free breakfasts, cocktails, beer and food! Gave us a late check out at no extra cost and the bar staff are very friendly. A great, clean comfortable room and not far from the sights or subway. I would stay again.
