We loved the beautiful, tasteful decor and peaceful ambiance of the public areas of this hotel. These areas included an excellent restaurant and bar and a lovely reading room. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. The spa was fabulous. Three of our party had a massage, and each of us was pleased with the experience. The room was quiet and nicely appointed, although not as luxurious as some other five star hotels we've stayed in.

Food was delicious. We dined in the Lafayette at least three times and in the lower bar late one evening.
The room, which was upgraded, was lovely, quiet and everything was fresh and clean.

Everything at the the hotel was top of the line, from the staff to the pillows. They gave new gym cloth in order to stay at the fitness center until it was time to go to the airport. Thank you. - Its a beautiful hotel in the heart of Foggy Bottom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.

The building itself is magnificent - harks back to a more refined time. We were a group of 5 "mature" college girlfriends, having our every-other-year reunion. It was a day layover for 25th wedding ani /50th birthday
en route to Hawaii. Given room upgrade not quite a suite but corner room views both ways. Biggest chocolate strawberrys/and cake and cream ive ever seen as a special gesture and free. staff and conciege extra polite and helpful.As previous comments this is a luxury standard by which all others should be judged the besr hotel we have stayed in and weve stayed in some top ones. the hotel is steeped in history take the trouble to enquire????

Everything!!! The hotel had a great location, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, great value for money (compared to the other hotels we used on our 5 week holiday in the US) and the room was well set-out, clean and very comfortable. ... что говорят » valet greeted us on the street my wife and I felt we had the full attention of the efficient and friendly staff. The room was clean, nicely decorated and pretty much perfect. We were able to walk to dinner and home from the theater, and in the morning took a stroll by the White House. Awesome!

I stayed at the hotel with my 18 year old son, both of us thought the Melrose was a very good hotel with large very comfortable rooms. The location was very good 15 min walk to the Lincoln Memorial or White House and only 5 min to Georgetown or the Metro. We thoiught the staff were - to a person - friendly, helpful, charming and really seemed to go out of their way to help us. The kids loved the St. Regis bags they received. There was a slight problem with our booking which was sorted out in a timely and efficient manner - everyone - from the concierge staff to the reception people were friendly and charming! Well done to all of them! WE will DEFINITELY be back!

The Dupont Circle provided a special experience from the moment we arrived. The design was contemporary with a touch of luxury but the atmosphere was relaxing and not pompous. The location was perfect for my husband and I and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the national monuments (about 30 mins). The Dupont cafe menu and food were very enjoyable

The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated, and the rooms and public spaces were clean and stylishly modern in look. The location was TERRIFIC. Easy access to Metro. Tons of restos and stores within walking distance.
The employees we dealt with were courteous and very responsive. All in all, it was a great place to stay for a long weekend in DC.
